The impact of COVID-19 on the world has been biblical to say the least. In the span of just a few months, normal life has been totally forgotten as the world tries to control the global pandemic. In all of this, Malta has arguably been the best at dealing with the virus. This, however, has come at a huge cost for the local economy; bars, restaurants, and non-essential retail outlets have been closed since mid-March. The gathering of more than three people in public has been prohibited and subjected to a fine, and the airport and harbours have been closed for travel. Consequently, thousands’ of people find themselves with reduced wages or no income at all.
At Island Properties, we understand such unforeseen measures caused by COVID-19 may be effecting our own tenants. We have set up the email covid19@islandproperties.com.mt to answer any of your queries regarding the entire situation and to offer assistance to those who may need it. We have also set up a temporary Revolut account for tenants who may be unable to leave their homes or perform a bank transfer.
